People often ask me the same questions when I perform.  Here are a few of the questions I get:

Q:  Where are you from?

A:  I am originally from Robinson, Illinois, but now I live on lake Martin, near Dadeville, Alabama.

Q:  Where do you perfom?

A:  I perform at local restaurants, Churches, local retirement facilities and nursing homes, as well as private parties.

Q:  Where did you get the name “Mel O’Joe”?

A:  This name was created when the band consisted of Melvin Knoblett and Joe Hudson.  Together they became “Mel O’Joe”.  Although the band has changed members over the years, the name “Mel O’Joe” has stuck.

Q:  Do you know any “Hank” songs?

A:  Of course!  I perform some Hank Williams and Hank Williams, Jr. songs, along with other country, rock and gospel songs.

Q:  Do you have any original songs?

A:  Yes.  I have written several original songs.  Most are gospel, but some are country or rock.  I have also collaborated with other artists, including my cousin Bill Knoblett, my son Michael, and my daughter Amy to create some unique music.
